Getting Caught Up!

April 28, 2011

After faithfully reading a friend of mines blog for a couple of years now, I have finally decided to start my own.  A lot of things have changed in my life over the past year and a half and it hit me….why aren’t you sharing any of these changes and adventures with your friends and family?  So a quick recap of the highlights of my past year…….

I moved to Denver in February of 2010, since then I have:

-Visited New York City & the Hamptons, for the first time, and hopefully not the last, over Memorial Day weekend visting friends of Sarah’s.

Sunset in the Hampton’s

-Experienced Bluegrass Festival in Telluride, Colorado for my birthday in June.  What an amazing place!  Highly recommended!

-Camped at Lake McConaughy in Nebraska , Buffalo Creek and the Poudre River Canyon in Colorado throughout the summer.

-Shared my families cabin in Clear Lake, IA with Sarah in August.

One of my favorite spots in Clear Lake

-Jetted to Washington, DC to bridemaid dress shop for my very best friend/cousin’s wedding in October.

A little DC sightseeing!

-Visited Sarah’s family in Connecticut around Thanksgiving.

Early Thanksgiving celebration with Sarahs "extended" family.

-Spent Christmas in Iowa with my friends and family.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church in my hometown

-Enjoyed a handful of days in the mountains of Colorado learning to snowboard, some with friends and some with family.

And that pretty much brings us up to date.  As you can see I have been here there and everywhere in between over the last year.

The past couple of weeks I have been to Washington, DC again for a bridal shower/bachelorette party and to Cabo San Lucas Mexico for some relaxation.  I will be sure to expand on those travels soon.

If you want to know more about any of my adventures to date, just ask!
